Goals 2007/2008

Dear Coaches, Referees, Parents and Volunteers, 

The City of Madison continues to experience tremendous growth.  Region 498 has shared in this growth, its triumphs, trials and tribulations.  Our city is on the verge of a very dynamic change, brought on by an exponential increase of people seeking to share in those same things which make our city the place we choose to live.

As the largest provider of a volunteer service in the City of Madison, AYSO Region 498 must prepare itself to respond to the demands this growth will impose upon the resources of our fields, coaches, referees and volunteers.  As an all Volunteer Service Organization we must constantly adapt and improve the way we accomplish our roles. We must prepare to respond to change.  Follows are goals for our organization in 2007/2008:

• Strive to provide every child a positive AYSO experience.
• Increase and improve our fields, buildings and equipment.
• Advance and increase our level of Certified Coaches, Referees and Volunteers.
• Improve our Communication to our players, parents and community.
• Participate in improving our community and its’ resources.
• Bring greater recognition to those who serve and participate.

To accomplish these goals it may be necessary to make changes in the way things have been done in the past and change is not without challenge.  From our first child over twenty years ago to over 1,400 today, we face the immediacy of doubling our numbers in a few short years.  We must prepare for the future, today. 

Through the contribution of a lot of talented folks like you Region 498 can accomplish these goals and many more.
