The computer you
use must be equipped with Macromedia FLASH Player, and the system will first
confirm that it is present. If not, you will be able to download this program,
free of charge. Once the FLASH Player software is installed on your computer,
you can start the online training course of your choice
U10 Coach Courses (Prerequisites: None)

Course Description:
The course is made up of two parts, you must complete both
Part 1 is done on-line

Click on “Course C003 – U-10 Coach”
The computer you use
must be equipped with Macromedia FLASH Player, and the system will
first confirm that it is present. If not, you will be able to
download this program, free of charge. Once the FLASH Player
software is installed on your computer, you can start the online
training course of your choice.
Part 2 is done on the field.

U12 Coach Courses (Prerequisites: None)

All Coaches: Must submit a volunteer form
annually. If one was submitted for fall 2006 or indoor 2007 season you do
not need another one for spring. You will need to do another when fall
season rolls around.
Log into eAYSO and fill out volunteer information
and print out and sign two copies of the volunteer form. Turn in at
coach training or mail to AYSO Region 498 CVPA: George Sledge, 122 Long Creek Drive, Madison, AL 35758
Coach Training & Certification will also be documented
in your eAYSO account
New Coaches: Must submit a volunteer form
in order to be eligible for coach training on-line.
Coach Training Requirements
1. Coach Safe Haven Training
All coaches must complete a Coach Safe
Haven Course (Good for Lifetime)
Available on-line via web (~20 – 30 minutes)
You must have your AYSO ID Number
The AYSO ID Number will be set up once the
volunteer form for a new volunteer has been submitted to the CVPA.
If you are a returning coach you should have
an established AYSO ID Number.
Contact your division coordinator if you do
not have your AYSO ID Number.
On-line training

2. Coach Technical Training
New Coaches: You must take the coach training
for division you are coaching
Returning Coaches: If you are moving up to a
new division (i.e. U8 to U10) then you must take the coach training for that
division (i.e. U10).
Online Safe Haven Certification Child and Volunteer Protection course - required for all Coaches & Referees can now be taken from home. This course is provided by the San Mateo, CA AYSO Region 36. Thanks guys!
Parent/spectator behavior & dissent
These guidelines are PER GAME.
► 1st occurrence verbal warning
► 2nd occurrence recorded caution
► 3rd occurrence ejection & 1 game suspension
• Two (2) ejections in a season will result in suspension.
• Refusal to leave after an ejection will result in suspension.
• Coaches are responsible for their parents. If they are unable to control a parent, the game will be stopped until the offender leaves.
• Profanity will result in ejection and removal from all playing fields. People using profanity will be asked to leave the complex. The game will not continue until they leave. City of Madison Police Department will enforce all Recreation Department bans and enforce as trespassing.
• Physical contact with a ref, league official, coach or any other persons will result in suspension and may be subject to further discipline.
• Referees and/or all league officials and City of Madison Recreation Department employees may enforce all these rules.
MOST IMPORTANT - CONFRONTATIONS OF ANY KIND WITH YOUTH REFEREES SIMPLY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
AYSO protects it's players and volunteers through the Safe Haven program. As with your regular job, AYSO volunteers can serve best if they understand their role/job description. If you are volunteering as a coach, please review the coach's job description from
