AYSO is an organization that is about more than the game of soccer, it is about the kids. On behalf of the Region 498 board, we look forward to seeing you at one of the three walk-in registrations. Also, please take the time to find out how you can volunteer. There is something for everyone. We all have busy schedules but if you take the time to ask, then we can certainly find something to fit your schedule. Remember, in AYSO, it’s about more than the game, it’s about the kids.

2008 Spring Soccer Volunteers

Volunteers are critical to the success of our program.

We are always in need of volunteers. We are always in need of referees, coaches, and board members. Also, we are always in need of team parents and assistant coaches.  There will be a table at registration to answer questions that you may have about volunteering. Please take the time to volunteer for at least one thing when you are registering your child.

If we do not have enough volunteers (parents) to support our Spring Season, then you may be notified that we cannot accept your child's registration, so please volunteer at http://www.eayso.org (it's a great service for the kids).

Volunteers should notify the Registrar at:
if they are planning to coach, referee, or assist in any way.

Coaches and Referees: All coaches and referees must be AYSO certified. Coach and Referee training will be provided prior to the start of the season for new volunteers. Referees must be willing to commit a minimum of 60 minutes each weekend during the season.

Safe Haven:
The Safe Haven Course is required for all volunteers and must be taken once during your AYSO career. The course is available on-line at the following link: http://www.aysosm.org/safehaven

For more info on training please see the coaches page.
