Insurance Program

 
Madison Babe Ruth provides insurance all players, managers, and coaches in our program. Each player is covered under the "2003 Babe Ruth Accident & Liability Insurance Program". This official Babe Ruth Plan is administered by the K&K Insurance Group. 

 

Accident Insurance Program

The Accident Insurance Program covers Babe Ruth rostered players, team managers, coaches, scorekeepers, bat and ball boys/girls, umpires, and league officials.

The program provides the following:

$250,000  Accident Medical for each participant
$ 10,000  Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage for each participant

The Plan provides coverage for accidental injuries sustained while traveling directly to and from or participating in any regular approved baseball activity of the league. This includes practice sessions, regularly scheduled games, and tournament games sponsored by the league.

The Plan pays for Covered Medical Expenses which occur within one year after an accident. Once these expenses exceed the $100 per person deductible, a maximum of $250,000 per accident for each insured person is provided.

Covered Medical expenses include the reasonable and customary charges for each service and supplies such as:

  • Treatment and care by a physician, surgeon, or registered nurse.
  • Hospital confinement or outpatient care in hospital
  • Emergency Ambulance Service
  • X-rays
  • Dental Expenses are covered only if required because of injury to natural teeth.

 

 
What to do if a player is injured and you think you qualify:
  • Notify your Coach immediately. 
  • Notify the League President.
  • Get an Insurance Claim form from the League President or Coach 
    (there are portions of the claim form that the League must fill out in addition to information 
     for you to supply)    .

Sometime injuries may seem minor when they happen but later require medical treatment. If medical treatment is required, please inform your coach immediately.
